Daegu National Museum
수정 요망Opened in 1994, the museum has over 30,000 objects in its collection. There are three permanent exhibition halls, focusing on archaeological finds from the region, fine arts, and traditional folk life, with displays ranging from Neolithic tools to pottery and other items from the Three Kingdoms Period. You'll see a variety of Buddhist statues and sculptures as well as Goryeo and Bucheon celadon porcelain. Artifacts in the museum date far back into the area's prehistory and culture. The museum also organizes activities for children, has an auditorium for special lectures and presentations, and keeps a nice outdoor garden area with flowers and herbs, where you can learn a bit about traditional herbal medicine, local plants, and edible grains.
