(August 2, 2012, 1:20 am)독일 건축가인 H.Weber가 1938년 건립하여 예배당으로 이용하였으며, 해안 절벽 위 송림속에 우아하게 자리한 모습에서 "화진포의 성"으로 불리워졌으며, 1948년 이후에는 북한이 귀빈 휴양소로 운영하였고, 당시 김일성과 그의 처 김정숙, 아들 김정일, 딸 김경희 등이 묵고간 적이 있어 지금까지 "김일성 별장"으로 널리 알려져 있다.
